While I was packed and getting ready for Antique Alley, a Texas flea market, this year I realized that I had photos from the Fall 2014 sale that I never shared with you!  Some of the photos may look similar but each sale is a little different.  If you follow me on Instagram you probably saw some of these.   Like this first one of my sister and I with our handmade Sister Chicks sign!

Antique Alley, Texas Flea Market

Antique Alley really is a TEXAS SIZED flea market!  It’s over 30 miles long and includes at least 2 sites with almost 100 vendors.  It seems that every year another large site opens so there may be even more this year.  My sister and I sell at Faith Meadows which is about 2 miles west of Grandview on Highway 4.  I may be a little prejudiced but I think it’s the best place to shop.  We’ve got GREAT food vendors , off the road parking lots with attendant who direct traffic, and bathrooms!

First, I’ll share a few behind the scenes photos.

Here’s what happens when you borrow a table from someone in Texas…

Yep.  My brother (or one of his boys) shot a hole in his wife’s table.  Not uncommon around here.

Next, it’s the annual hanging of the Farm Girl Chandelier!  We always pay a little extra to have a tent put up for us.  It saved us a lot of time and has literally saved us thousands of dollars from storm damage.  One year our neighbor put up their own tent and a thunderstorm (and possibly tornado) came through on Friday night.  They tent turned over and ALL their products were lost.

Sister Chicks is slowly expanding to include the daughter chicks.  E wanted to decorate our chalkboard sign…

… and she even sold her own handmade bracelets!

Our friend, Feliz, found these heads at a sale and immediate thought of Sue Ellen.  We had a good laugh thinking about what the police would say if they pulled her over for speeding and saw a box of heads in her car.  Sue Ellen has used these ever since to display her Lilla Rose hair accessories.

These little chalkboards leftover from Jordann’s wedding have come in handy!  I use a chalk pen to make them last a little longer.  But they’re still easy to switch out.  Just use a damp cloth to erase.  I got these from Dollar Tree but I found some smaller ones online that would be great, too.

My sister found this screen door on the side of the road.  We added chicken wire to hold jewelry and burlap to make them stand out.

The chicken theme continues with chicken feeders and waterers holding much of the jewelry!
